Support Measure BB to ensure the students of Colton Joint Unified School District have safe, clean and modern educational facilities.
Students in the Colton Joint Unified School District – which includes Colton, Bloomington, Grand Terrace and parts of San Bernardino, Fontana, Loma Linda, and Riverside County – deserve safe and modern schools that prepare them to succeed and become tomorrow’s leaders.
Yes on Measure BB enables our local schools to improve the quality of educational opportunities and deliver on the promise of preparing our students for the future, while securing the health and vitality of the communities they serve.
Fix Aging Schools
Many of our neighborhood schools were built more than 60 years ago. Aging roofs, electrical systems, ventilation, water, sewer and storm drain systems require repair or replacement to meet current health and safety codes, including removal of hazardous materials like asbestos and lead pipes. Yes on Measure BB will help make our schools safer and replace many of the district’s 175 aging portable classrooms with modern, permanent classrooms.
Improve School Safety
Yes on Measure BB will upgrade campus security, emergency communications, smoke detectors and fire sprinklers to keep our schools and our students safe and secure.
Fiscal Safeguards
Measure BB contains strict fiscal safeguards and independent citizens’ oversight that guarantee funds will be spent exactly as promised, and Yes on Measure BB ensures local control – all funds must be spent in the Colton Joint Unified School District, not diverted by Sacramento bureaucrats.
